Welcome to The Clearwater Run blog.
The plan is to ride Harley-Davidson motorcycles from Orlando to Clearwater Beach and back in the week preceding the IAAPA Attractions Expo 2013. It is certainly not a challenging ride in terms of distance, and the intention is to wind our way West on interesting roads at speeds commensurate with our age and stature.
We intend to ride out from Orlando Harley-Davidson at 12h00 on Thursday November 14th and return to Orlando by 17h00 on Monday November 18th. The IAAPA Trade Show floor opens at 10h00 on Tuesday November 19th.
We will overnight in Tampa on the Thursday night, and take a gentle ride into Clearwater on the Friday. On the Saturday or the Sunday we are proposing to rent a boat with a skipper and go game fishing. The boat takes 6 passengers. On the other day, either the Saturday or the Sunday, we are proposing to ride South down the coast to Sarasota.
There will, of course, be beer drunk and food consumed.
I hope that by the end of July we will have six motorcycles confirmed so that we can, collectively, start booking things.
